Computer Based Testing (CBT) for the Certified Supply Chain Professional's (CSCP) exam is now being offered through Pearson VUE under the auspices of APICS the Association for Operations Management.

While the CSCP Computer Based Testing (CBT) is administered by Pearson VUE, APICS the Association for Operations Management has an eligibility requirement that must be satisfied in order to take the CSCP CBT exam. The process for becoming certified is as follows - To become a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP): (1) you must complete an Eligibility Application and have the application approved; (2) register for the CSCP Exam; and (3) take and pass the CSCP Exam. To save yourself time and expense, please do NOT register for the exam until you are notified that you are eligible. This means that you should fill-out and submit your eligibility application as soon as possible.

CPIM provides a common basis for individuals and organizations to evaluate their knowledge of the evolving field of production and inventory management. BASICS OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT (BSCM) is an introductory course for production and inventory management personnel and CPIM candidates. This course provides basic definitions and concepts for planning and controlling the flow of materials into, through, and out of an organization. It explains fundamental relationships among the activities that occur in the supply chain from suppliers to customers. In addition, the course addresses types of manufacturing systems, forecasting, master planning, material requirements planning, capacity management, production activity control, purchasing, inventory management, distribution, quality management, and just-in-time manufacturing.

Basics of Supply Chain Management Participant 

MASTER PLANNING OF RESOURCES (MPOR) explores processes used to develop sales and operations plans; identifies and assesses internal and external demand and forecasting requirements; and how to effect an achievable master schedule consistent with business policies, objectives, and resource constraints. The course focuses on developing and validating a plan of supply, relating management of demand to environment, and developing and validating the master schedule. 
In addition, the course encompasses concepts for transforming sales, marketing, and business requirements into a feasible and economic operations plan in various business environments, It also addresses concepts and methodologies for managing projected and actual demands from distribution networks and external customers. 
Finally, the course presents methods for integrating sales and operations plans, demand forecasts and customer demand into a specific master schedule.

DETAILED SCHEDULING AND PLANNING (DSPL) focuses on material and capacity scheduling and planning. It includes a detailed explanation of material requirements planning (MRP) a technique suitable for use in job shops. The course also introduces another material planning technique material-dominated scheduling, which is applicable to process industries and other mature production environments. The course explains capacity requirements planning in detail and introduces other capacity-planning techniques, including process-dominated scheduling.

EXECUTION AND CONTROL OF OPERATIONS (ECOO ) focuses on three main areas: prioritizing and sequencing work; executing work plans, implementing controls, and reporting activity results; and evaluating and providing feedback on performance. The course explains techniques for scheduling and controlling production and process operations. It also addresses the execution of quality initiatives and continuous improvement plans as well as the control and handling of inventories. Finally the course presents techniques for evaluating performance and collecting data for effective feedback.

STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF RESOURCES (SMOR) explores the relationship of existing and emerging processes and technologies to manufacturing strategy and supply chain-related functions. CSCP Five Module Class

The APICS-CSCP Course instructors use the CSCP Learning System which is a combination of online learning and classroom discussion. The coursework requires focus, dedication, discipline, and time on the part of the learner. Feedback from those who have studied for and passed the exam indicates that a minimum of 80 hours, excluding class time, should be planned for. The course consists of the following. •  Four print modules containing more the 800 pages of material •  Pre- and post-course tests •  Module-specific tests •  Online glossary •  eFlashcards Due to the professional level and amount of the materials, the learning process is not so much a transfer of new knowledge by an instructor but more of a sharing of the ideas studied being facilitated by qualified certified CSCP APICS- instructors. Participants leave with an updated project plan and a new 30-day plan of attack.

Session C: Participants return and present their progress in creating flow and leveraging pull. Discussions include mass customization, total landed cost, new product development, supply chain audits, and other topics related to Lean supply chains. Participants take the CLM exam and leave with an updated project plan and a new 30-day plan of attack. • Certified Lean Master • Creating Lean supply chains for manufacturing, distribution, retail, service, and virtual organizations.

Support: Participants will have telephone and email support between sessions to discuss progress and alternatives for meeting the milestones in their project plan.

Optional: Organizations can bring in a Lean expert to perform a Lean supply chain audit and create a roadmap for achieving a Lean supply chain certification.
